The next morning we had a great breakfast and checked out.

The following day was supposed to be rainy.

Trees, trees, and more trees, and now we were in some mountains. Suddenly we look up and there it is.

We’d been planning this part of the trip for two years. As with everyone, we were shut down and our 2020 plans were shut down.

Most of the Covid year had been spent navigating the complexities of buying a car in Germany while needing to have Italian plates.
